THE OPPORTUNITY
When InterConnect Wiring found Ilfusion in 2015, they had been in business for just over two decades, building themselves into a premier manufacturer and installer for aircraft wiring harnesses for the defense industry as well as large commercial clients. John Ashour and his sister, Clare McGarrey, co-founded InterConnect in the early 90’s to function as a provider for manufacturers such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing and, Sikorski, as well as many NATO countries’ defense departments.
With this stellar foundation, they had found that talent, drive and a commitment to quality can only take a business so far. Efficiently and effectively communicating the value and performance of their offerings was the only way to take their business to the next level.
THE EXECUTION
The military supply industry is a fascinating microcausm for B2B marketing, with a finite list of valuable prospects who’s relationships must be carefully managed. To best serve this unique audience, Ilfusion began with a thorough assessment of the brand and messaging to form the strongest possible foundation on which a comprehensive marketing plan can be constructed.
Working closely with the sales team, customized solutions were implemented, including a robust Social Media strategy composed of management and content curation. A good example of this being a years-long series of informative video that explores the various processes that are involved in manufacturing the exacting and technical equipment that keep American and allied military aircraft flying.
To augment the rich content being distributed via social media, several other activities have been added, including active SEO, regular email communication, trade show support and the creation of sales enablement materials to allow the team to make the most of their sales efforts.
