Blogging is Branding
People want to feel special; it’s as simple as that. So when they’re reading a blog or Facebook page, they want to feel like that business is talking directly to them about information pertaining to their lives. So why do some companies still blog about complicated subjects that only they can understand?
A company blog is an extension to the website and social media platforms. In fact, it’s a nice meet in the middle because it has the branding of a website but the personality you’d see on Facebook. It’s content marketing at its finest – getting valuable content to your target audience in an efficient way while keeping your “brand personality” thriving. Aka: getting your brand talked about on a wide platform.
Blogging is a great way to share your brand with your target audience and it’s in every crevice of the blog site. It gives you the power to write content that aligns with your brand, add photos that show off your brand, and interact as a company to consumers who know your brand. It’s an outlet that allows creativity to engage and surround customers in a way that’s entertaining for them. That’s why we make sure every word, picture, and idea incorporates the company brand.
The trick to blogging about your brand is to write expert level content for non-experts. You have to know your stuff inside and out so when you write about it, the people not in the industry (target consumers) will understand what the message is. Think about your blog as a form of brand entertaining. Choose subjects that pertain to your industry while being entertaining for the target audience.
So remember, blogs are a free way to promote the business brand on a large-scale platform in a fun, creative way. Who wouldn’t want that?
