Ciao to an Engaging Internship at Ilfusion!

When I began interning at Ilfusion in May, I had no idea what to expect from this experience. I was just returning from a semester abroad in Italy and barely knew how I would cope with being back in the United States, let alone starting a new internship … my first internship to be exact. Yes, this summer at Ilfusion was the first interning experience. However, I could not have wished for a better opportunity.

Being at Ilfusion was undoubtedly the perfect way to spend my first internship and my summer. Not only was I working and gaining knowledge in a professional work environment, but I was actually performing various important tasks and learning through hands-on experience as opposed to mere observation. Instead of simply making coffee runs or filing folders, I researched content ideas and assisted in interactions and post creation for various social media sites for a number of diverse customers and brands. I created reports for social media market research and strategy analyzation. I pitched and established new social media accounts and spent time building follower base and network connections in order to maximize exposure of the brand. Lastly, I wrote. I wrote a lot. I wrote blogs throughout the summer for a number of clients, and it was one of my favorite tasks each week.

However, if you know anything about Ilfusion, you know this office is not all work and no play. Don’t get me wrong, there is countless amounts of time and effort going into each client coming through our doors and every product we produce for them. However, the occasional afternoon break of everyone in the office helping create a promotional video or the spurts of laughter in the midst of meetings make each day in this office exciting, engaging, and just really really fun.

The reason Ilfusion is such an amazing work environment is not just because of the inspiring products they produce on a daily basis. It is because of the people. They are the ones who truly make this place successful as their creativity, diligence, professionalism and spirit breathe life and personality into everything they do.

Therefore, as I leave Ilfusion, I want to say thank you. I want to say thank you to all of the people in this office who imparted invaluable wisdom and knowledge to me by allowing me to join them in their amazing work this summer. I want to thank everyone for trusting me and my abilities enough to challenge me with new projects as I grew and matured as a professional with each completed task. Lastly, I want to thank all of my colleagues at Ilfusion for simply welcoming me with open arms. This was an unforgettable and invaluable summer, and I am so grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to intern at Ilfusion Creative.

As I depart, I feel confident and eager to build my career with the foundation and knowledge I have gained while at Ilfusion. The insight I acquired about working with clients to create an interactive and successful online presence, building relationships and growing networks inside and outside of the work environment and collaborating with a team of individuals to achieve the best result possible will follow me throughout my career and my life.

Thank you Ilfusion. Ciao.
