Elizabeth’s Internship Experience

I have always heard that the best jobs are the ones you look forward to when you wake up in the morning, the ones where you are included by your peers, the ones where you actually enjoy completing the work you need to do. I have worked a myriad of odd jobs and I can say, with absolute certainty, that I have never been happier with a job than with my internship position at Ilfusion.

I began working for Ilfusion the second semester of my junior year. In the previous semester, I endured that awful, “I have zero real world experience and no clue what I want to do with my life” drop in my stomach and figured it was time to jump head first into the professional world. Considering I had no idea what I was going to do after graduation, I decided to look for an internship that offered me a variety of options and experiences in advertising, public relations, and graphic design. Luckily enough, Ilfusion offered all of the above.

Over the course of my internship, I learned what it is like to work in a real creative agency; I watched everything from logo design, to social media, to account management and loved every second of it. Ilfusion has the most welcoming atmosphere — everyone treated me like I had been working there for years and I was truthfully sad when my internship ended. I can’t even begin to quantify how much I learned, how much I appreciated the experiences in various creative fields that Ilfusion offered, how much I enjoyed working with everyone there, and how much I am going to miss Ilfusion now that my internship is over.

Unfortunately, I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. In truth, Ilfusion presented such a wide range of awesome jobs that I am probably going to have a harder time choosing which I want for my career. Thankfully, the experiences and knowledge I gained at Ilfusion have prepared me for whatever I choose.
