New Year’s Resolution in 4K UHD
This year’s Resolution (in 4K Ultra HD)
Every year we take time to survey our lives and make an adjustment based on experience. Sometimes we make petty resolutions that we have every intention on keeping but ultimately fail on due to some distraction or another. (Side note: Am I the only one that noticed “Girl Scout Cookie Season” starts 3 weeks after everyone makes their resolutions?!)
This year I would like to make a change, a REAL one. Instead of making some resolution to do something specific to work on, I am going to try to focus on one large concept to implement into every part of my life. This year the word is QUALITY. I grew up a bargain shopper and a collector of needless items. (Oh, you mean hoarding…). Instead of buying one, high quality item that will last, I bought 10 of the lesser quality, knowing I would have replacements. After a decade and a half of this philosophy I found myself sitting in a pile of clothes circa 2000 and too many Beanie Babies to know what to do with. I never took to the idea of spring cleaning, but I am beginning to understand the need for it. (SO MANY SPIDERS!)
Quality can apply to many different aspects of life. One way we are going to implement the notion of quality here at Ilfusion is by adapting our discovery process so that we can have higher quality conversations even if the design and content decisions have not yet been made. Making this change will improve the quality of the finished product, but will also improve our client’s experience because they will be able to have a better understanding of the status of the project at any given time.
This year, why not adapt the word QUALITY to your business marketing strategy? Take a look at your current website. Are you putting out concise, high quality information? Is your message easy to understand? Or do your eyes glaze over as you read through lengthy paragraphs of descriptions? Try this exercise: Take a buddy into the elevator. Have the doors set to close from being completely open. Within the time it takes for those doors to close, can you explain what your company does by reading from your website? Being able to express your company’s business within 5 seconds not only opens up your audience profile, but also positions you into the 21st century where everything moves at the speed of the Cloud.
