Piecing Together Your Marketing Puzzle
Does your company have all the pieces to create a great marketing campaign?
You may have a website, which is a great start, and you might even be set up on social media networks— which is awesome! But those are just two pieces to a larger puzzle: the puzzle that is your firm’s overall marketing strategy. Every company’s strategy will require different components, as each company’s product and demographic is different, but generally speaking these components include, at a minimum: your website, your social media, and your visual/video presence.
Additionally, if your business has an offline component (as in, you’re offering a product or service that isn’t exclusively digital in nature), you will also need an offline marketing strategy that complements what you’re doing online.
Each puzzle piece should work together, first to build brand awareness, then trust, and then to convert into sales. No piece will result in sales individually. Increasingly, people are finding new products and services via their friends; on its own your website will not be very effective as it may not be found enough. If you don’t have a website to offer consistent information on your product, your social media won’t have a place to drive traffic to that offers that key info. And without video presence, you may not establish enough trust in your product or service to convince those visitors to try it out. If your product is offline, then you need something that connects all the digital efforts to the real-life ones— if you leave customers to take that step, they will likely go elsewhere.
On the other hand, if all of your components work together, then you build a loop that keeps existing customers happy and introduces new ones into the cycle on a consistent basis, sending your business skyrocketing.
