Solving Communication Confusion
When it comes to working directly with customers, communication is key. And in these technologically advanced times, we’re sending emails, texts, phone calls – it can get confusing as to which form of communication to use!
That’s why we use a project management program called Basecamp. With Basecamp, we’re able to keep projects, calendars, to-do lists, time tracking, file sharing and messages all in the same place. The best part? Our customers have access to all that pertains to their projects, too! As a company, we have control over what customers see so there’s no worry about one customer seeing another’s password list, graphics, strategy plans or development. We also can see what our team members are working on. This not only keeps the customer on the same page but keeps us on the same page, as well!
Other project management systems concentrate on graphics and statistics, and while Basecamp can give you that, it does it in an extremely user-friendly way. Organization is a main component in any successful business and Basecamp allows you to create categories, sub categories, private messages and public ones. If you have a ton of files already worked on, no worries! It’s easy to upload a file or document to share. Another benefit of a project management system is the web-based function. This means that wherever you are, you can access your projects.
For our customers, they have access to all of their projects and can see what we’re working on. The messages go straight to email as well as being archived so those customers who aren’t so tech-savvy don’t have to try too hard!
Taking those random communication devices out of the mix not only saves time, but takes away all (or at least some) of the communication confusion between business and customer.
