Weekly Pinterest Analytics & Your Benefit
On May 21st, 2014 Ilfusion implemented a new weekly Pinterest analytics check up on all clientele Pinterest platforms. Not only will this improve our knowledge of those interacting with our client’s brands most on their Boards and Pins, but it will also let us know what exactly the company is doing that users are interested in and when they are interested with more specificity.
As of April 2014, more than 70 million Pinterest users had uploaded more than 30 billion pins, our clients included, leading to a total $5 billion valuation for Pinterest as a whole. While there are some men on the site, it is primarily women doing the pinning at an 80/20 ratio (though there is a steady increase of male users). 23% of users visit an ecommerce site after pinning or re-pinning an item from the site, which is also being driven by the female Pinterest consumer, as 85% of consumer purchase decisions are made by women. Pinterest is also the most brand-friendly social media platform available to businesses. The product-image driven content leads users to gather positive interactions with the brands they encounter on the site (Business Insider).
All of these wonderful statistics about Pinterest make it an important resource to offer our clients in terms social media strategies. By implementing our new plan of checking up on each brand’s specific Pinterest activity weekly, it will allow us to see which users and consumers are interacting with each brand each week. Also, it will give us insight into what about the company the user is interested in- be it services offered, client-customer relations or simply popular company interests. Our weekly check-ups will allow us to see what users are reacting to the most, and continue that Pin or Board theme in order to increase brand Pinterest traffic. Overall we expect this new analytics plan to increase brand awareness and interactivity amongst the Pinterest users as well as enhance our knowledge about what consumers are looking for from each specific client.
